{Event Recap} Cocktail Bridal Shower

This summer I had the honor to design a bridal shower for beautiful Yvette. Yvette is a sophisticated girly girl, à la "Sex and the City." She wasn't looking for tons of games and activities. She just wanted to relax and enjoy some time with her friends and family. With this in mind I selected a cocktail theme for the party with appetizers and sweets. Her wedding was designed in red, black and white so I wanted to use a different color palette for the shower. Orange and pink work perfectly with girly cocktails, don't you think?

Food and dessert table

Thanks to A Blissful Nest who created all the food table signs, to-go box stickers and the gate sign!

I decided on four different premixed cocktails; Sangria, Mimosas, Mojitos (made by the bride herself!), and Bellinis. Chilled white wine and water was also served.

The food was a combination of frozen finger foods from Trader Joes and homemade items. This was a great combo as homemade always helps control the cost, while balancing out the menu with store bought items keeps you from getting overwhelmed.

The desserts were also a combination of homemade items and store bought candies. To-go boxes were set out for the guests to fill up with goodies to take home with them when they left.

Some of the items on the dessert table
-Martha Stewart's Frozen Melon Margarita Pops
-
Bakerella's Snickerdoodle Cupcakes
-Heart and flower shaped Jello shots
-Heart shaped Rice Krispy treats
-Dark chocolate almond butter bars

Thank you cards I designed for the bride

And finally, me with Yvette and the hostesses
