{Event Recap} Sun & David's Enchanted Pink(berry) Wedding

Back in September I got to revisit one of my favorite locations, Calamigos Ranch in Malibu for Sun and David's wedding. The combination of the enchanting rustic scenery with the soft pinks and whites of the wedding design really set the stage for the event. Combine this with some gorgeous photography by Andy Seo and ... well you'll just have to see for yourself in the pictures below.

One of my favorite details was having Pinkberry deliver some tasty after dinner treats for their guests to enjoy! Even "Pink"berry matched perfectly with the wedding theme. I did have to do some behind the scene work again when the Pinkberry delivery car got a flat tire and threatened to be a no-show. Luckily, they made it and the bride and groom got to share the yumminess with their guests.

{Event Recap} Kaitlin & Anthony's Colorful Country Club Wedding

I had the pleasure to work with Kate and Anthony last August on their ceremony and wedding reception. It was a bit of a drive to Aliso Viejo, but definitely worth it for this sweet and easy going couple! I am so in love with the vibrant colors, which reminded me of my own wedding.

I'm very glad they chose to hire a coordinator for their big day. I received a call the day of the wedding from their poor ceremony guitarist who had injured his hand! Luckily, I was able to coordinate a replacement guitarist so the couple didn't even realize what had happened. The celebration was lovely from start to finish. I hope you all enjoy the fabulous photos taken by Brynn Alyson Photography.

{Event Recap} Polka Dot & Balloon Birthday

I wanted to share this party with all of you because every time I glance at the pictures they just make me happy. I loved using so many bright and cheery colors all in one event. Hopefully, it will also inspire some of you. And, for those of you stuck in cold winter regions, give you a splash of summer and sun.

The party inspiration started with the birthday girl's dress (below). The bright colorful polka dots were just calling for a fabulous party with which to coordinate. I decided to have a loose theme for the party tying in all sorts of brightly colored circles: polka dots, balloons and balls. The main focus though was using the rainbow palette.

One of my favorite design aspects was the backdrop for the food table. I took pictures of the birthday girl alone and with family and friends from the past year and had them framed with card stock and then hung as a back drop behind the table. At the end of the party we cut the pictures down and gave them away to any family and friends who wanted an additional keepsake.

Some more party details for everyone to enjoy

{Event Recap} Shant's Incredible Hulk Pool Party

This summer I got the opportunity to work with one of my wonderful clients not once but twice! After helping Nayiri with her youngest son's baptism dessert table, she contacted me again to assist her with her oldest son's birthday party. She requested "The Incredible Hulk" with a green and sand color theme. There are so many yummy treats that go with these colors!

The dessert table featured a green brick cake with an Incredible Hulk cake topper surrounded by lots of cookies, candies and popcorn. The table was set up on a ping pong table folded in half which gave lots of space for the food and created the perfect green backdrop to hang posters onto.

In addition to the treats, there was also a drink table to keep all the guests hydrated with Sprite, Iced Tea, Lemon & Mint Water and Lemonada.

For the main food, BBQ'd hot dogs and hamburgers were served fresh off the grill and a make your own salad bar was set up for the guests to enjoy.
