Which is exactly what I needed since I was 7 months pregnant at their wedding (this was the last wedding before I took maternity leave). Because I was pregnant I called in one of my wonderful assistants, Tish! As always she did an amazing job letting me boss her around all night.
I met with Annginette and Sam several months before their wedding. They planned on hosting a park ceremony and backyard reception for their big day. They would be working very hard sprucing up their backyard to prep it and they wanted some help making sure all the details came together on the day-of. They wanted to be able to relax and enjoy their day after all of their hard work. I happily accepted the task and was very excited to get to work with them.
The day started out in the beautiful tea garden at Brand Park in Glendale.
It was a gorgeous day and everything went perfectly. The bride looked lovely in a short dress prefect for a park/backyard wedding.
The white was offset by a lovely dark purple and bright shades of green.

After the ceremony everyone drove to the bride and groom's home for the reception. The bride got into the party spirit with a small wardrobe change ... check out her great shoes (and the black and white checkered dance floor)!

It was obvious that everyone had so much fun. Hosting a reception at home is such a personal touch and, in this case, definitely worth the effort and hard work!
